Enjoy this wonderful video from the boys and girls in Mr Doyle's sixth class. Heart warming. We are blessed to be in a school with such extraordinary talent and to have the willingness to share our gifts with others. Thank you to all the boys and girls, their teachers and support staff, for producing this wonderful virtual tour of our school at Christmas. It will certainly uplift our families. Sincerest thanks to Ms Lee for producing the final video.
Enjoy. Rang 6 had a great time with Ms O'Connor. They created this wonderfully evocative video. It was inspired by their spooky paintings and a well known piece of poetry from Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. The students used their voices so effectively to present their work.
Lots of our boys and girls are finding Lego WeDo very helpful. They use it to explore coding and expand their 21st Century learning skills. It involves lots of engineering skills, plenty of listening and loads of cooperating with one another.
We are so proud of Mr Doyle and his class (now in 5th class) who were victorious at the recent FÍS film awards. The school has a long tradition of participating in the competition. It was a wonderful achievement to win another award; this time for outstanding soundtrack. Writing, creating, filming and editing a film involves months of hard work and an extraordinary amount of effort from the students and their teacher. This year the awards ceremony was streamed live and classes could enjoy it from the comfort of the classroom. Given the high quality of the entries received, it was clear that Mr Doyle's class really impressed the judges. Well done everyone.
Congratulations to Kayleigh in Ms Dwyer's class. She was delighted to participate with lots of other boys and girls in the annual Late Late Toy show. Kayleigh loves to dance and perform. It was an amazing opportunity to be able to perform in front of the cameras. Well done Kayleigh.
We were delighted to celebrate together on Friday 26 November. It was the night of the Late Late Toy Show and the boys, girls and staff donned their favourite Christmas jumper or Christmas colours. Normally our students participate in the Team Hope shoebox appeal (https://www.teamhope.ie/christmas-shoebox-appealwww.teamhope.ie/christmas-shoebox-appeal//) This year however we were unable to do so. We decided instead to donate to the charity. Thank you to all of the families who kindly supported this initiative. We hope that we may have made Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate than ourselves.
