Scoil an Chroí Ró Naofa íosa will have a Whole School Evaluation (WSE) commencing the first week in April, just after the Easter holidays. A team of inspectors from the Department of Education and Skills will visit the school during the week and will be evaluating the quality of management and the quality of teaching and learning in the school. Inspectors have already had meetings with the Board of Management, the school staff and the Parents' Association. Some children from selected classes will be asked to fill out questionnaires and there will also be a parents' questionnaire from a sample of parents. The final report will appear online on the Department's website in due course.
The school will be closed tomorrow, Friday 26 February for the General Election. The school is being used as a polling station. Children will return to school on Monday 29 February.
Congratulations to the boys and girls from Mr Hanley's sixth class who, with the help of their teachers, developed this incredible video entitled 'Life on Mars'. It is a fascinating, educational and entertaining piece which highlights their hard work and enthusiasm. Well done to all involved.

The school is processing over 120 applications for enrolment. Successful applicants will be informed over the next few weeks.
Registration for incoming Junior Infants continues tomorrow (Thursday 11 February). There are two opportunities to register your child, 10 am until 12 noon and 7.30 until 8.30pm. Please bring the following documents with you for registration:
An original Birth Certificate, with a photocopy of the document. An original Baptism Certificate, with a photocopy of the document. Two current utility bills with proof of address. The child's PPSN. |
