Entrance Exams for sixth class students will be held on 19 and 20 April 2016.
The school closes for Easter holidays on Wednesday 16 March at 12 noon. There is an error on the printed school calendar (a copy of which is featured on the calendar page of the website). Please note that the children return to school on Monday 4 April.
The boys and girls in Second Class have been preparing for their First Confession over the past number of weeks. Tonight (10 March) the children will join together in our church to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation. We know that God loves us and rejoices when we say sorry for the mistakes we have made. Our confession is an opportunity to begin again and to try harder to treat everyone we meet with kindness. Thank you to all the teachers for preparing the boys and girls for this important sacrament.
This incredible photographs was taken by Mrs Dooley's first class boys and girls to show what happens to an egg when it is placed in a container of water and vinegar. They were amazed to discover that the shell disappeared after a number of days, dissolving into the liquid. Our science investigations always teach us such wonderful new things.
"An fhéile Ghaeilge is mó in Éirinn agus ar fud an domhain!"
Táimid anois ag ceiliúradh seachtain na Gaeilge ar scoil. Deanfaimid go léir iarracht chun an teanga a úsaid comh líofa agus is féidir linn. We encourage everyone in the school to use Irish over the coming weeks. It is a great opportunity to celebrate our heritage and culture. There is a wonderful tradition of using Irish in the school and we are all delighted to hear it spoken in the classrooms, in the playground and around the school. Many classes will participate in Irish cultural activities including song, dance and poetry. Maith sibh go léir. |
