Congratulations to Amy in Mr Herity's class who was successful in the Folens 'Create your own monster' art competition. We were told that our project has been selected for the Primary Science Fair in the RDS in January 2015. This year we are investigating the relationship between eye colour, hair colour and the presence or absence of freckles. It is a very interesting project and the boys and girls have worked really hard since September designing the experiments and carrying out the research.
Thank you to everyone who supported the book fair last week. It was a huge success. Thank you to the parents who helped run the fair.
The Book Fair 2015 comes to Huntstown next week with wonderful books for all our boys and girls. A timetable has been created which will allow every class in the school the opportunity to visit the fair in the atrium. Once again our wonderful parents will help to coordinate the event. The books available are listed below. Click on each of the images to view the brochure.
This morning we welcomed members of the All Ireland winning Dublin team to the school. We were so excited. Boys and girls from across the school asked questions and the assembled audience listened attentively. We learned all about the training, the preparation and the dedication of the team. The school teams were offered the opportunity to take photographs with the players.
Well done to everyone who helped to organise the event. Thank you to the student council for organising a wonderful dress up day on Friday 30 October. There were lots of wonderful costumes, with ghosts, witches and minions roaming the corridors of the school. The council also provided Halloween games for the classes to play. Thank you to everyone for participating in the event.
