Well done to everyone for their contributions.
On June 18th we received this Thank you note from the charity Trócaire. During the season of Lent many of our families collected money for less fortunate people in the developing world. The total raised in our school was €1077.60. It will greatly benefit so many people.
Well done to everyone for their contributions. We recently celebrated Confirmation and First Holy Communion in the school. These important sacraments are a part of the children's faith journey and we were delighted to see such joy and excitement in all the boys and girls as they shared their experience with their families and the wider school community. The Holy Communion and Confirmation choirs were outstanding. Thank you to Ms Donohoe and Ms Desmond for all their hard work. The beautiful music adds so much to the liturgy. A group of eighteen students accompanied by their teachers, travelled on their bikes on Friday 20 June last to the park in Blanchardstown. The event was organised by Fingal County Council as part of National Bike Week. In the park, the children were joined by other school children from the Dublin 15 area. They were shown bike handling skills. They were given safety demonstrations. Their bikes were checked by qualified technicians. The Deputy Mayor spoke to the children and the children cycled together around the park. It was a wonderful experience. Well done to all involved and thank you to Ms Lucey for coordinating the event. Mrs Kavanagh has contributed so much to the school over many years. She retires at the end of the school term and while we are sorry to lose such a valued member of the school community we know that she will have an enriched and fulfilling retirement. Mrs Kavanagh enjoyed a wonderful celebration in her honour on Friday 13 June. Mass was followed by a presentation ceremony in the Atrium where Mrs Kavanagh was praised for the wonderful contribution she has made to the lives of so many children over the years. We wish Mrs Kavanagh all the very best and hope to see her in Huntstown again where she will always be welcome. |
