We worked very hard over the past number of weeks to deepen our friendships. We work together every day to learn about how we can treat one another with compassion, thoughtfulness and kindness. Our infants made friendship bands together.
We are delighted to enjoy the benefits of the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown. Our third class students are currently visiting the centre for swimming lessons every Tuesday. 4th, 5th and 6th class students also enjoyed their lessons and we have noted the improvements made by all our students. Well done everyone and thank you Ms Higgins for organising it all.
There was great excitement recently as we welcomed the Book Fair back to our Atrium after a hiatus. It was great to visit the Atrium with our friends and choose some books. Thank you to Ms Mullany and the parents who organised and ran the event for us all.
Rang 4 is busy planting a vegetable garden. The children are entering a competition run by Woodies. They must plant a garden in a 1.5 X 1.5 metre square patch. Thanks to the support of Mr Kestell, the plot has been prepared and the seedlings have been propagated. With some warmer weather and a little luck, they will hopefully enjoy some wonderful vegetables before too long. Planting is a big part of our Science studies. We love looking after nature and we benefit when we celebrate its wonder.
We were thrilled to welcome Karl and Emily recently. They performed some dances and answered our questions. It was a great experience for everyone. It was then wonderful to learn that Karl won the 'Dancing with the stars' competition. He reminded us all to give our best to everything that we do. Hard work is always involved in great success.
Our 6th classes produced some wonderful projects on the theme of 'Space'. We are amazed by the quality of what they have produced. Well done to all involved.
Bhí craic againn i rith seachtain na Gaeilge, muidne ag ceiliúradh le chéile. Bhí tráth na gceist ag Rang 5 agus Rang 6. Bhí na naoínraí ag damhsa sa halla.
