Congratulations to Ciara Gallagher from 6th class who stars in a short movie entitled "Little Doll" which will be premiered in Berlin in February on the theme of bullying.
Well done to all the boys and girls who got out of their beds early on Saturday morning ( 9 January ) to take part in the fun run organised by Fingal County Council. A wonderful morning was enjoyed by all. Being fit and healthy is so important and we are very fortunate to have teachers like Ms Mulcahy, Ms Quinn and Ms Shallow who are willing to coordinate these events in the school. Well done everyone. You have represented your school, your families and your community very well.
We would like to sincerely thank Ms Carmel Kelleher from Huntstown Pharmacy who kindly donated jerseys for our school teams. We are delighted with the kit and look forward to many triumphs in the months and years ahead. Donations from the local community are essential to the school and we are very fortunate to have a strong sense of community spirit in Huntstown.
Well done to all the students who took part in the fun run in Porterstown over the weekend. They were ably assisted by their teachers Ms Mulcahy, Ms Quinn and Ms Shallow. Photographs from the event will be posted to the site in due course.
We were delighted to receive such positive feedback from everyone we met at the Primary Science Fair in the RDS on Saturday. Sixteen students from sixth class represented our school at the fair with a project which looked at how our physical appearance was influenced by our parents. It was a fantastic day and the students were delighted to showcase their hard work. They were also able to look at other projects from students across the country and experienced all the incredible shows and performances available at the event. Well done to everyone. The students represented their school and their families admirably.
The boys and girls from the after school science club are thrilled and honoured to present their project at the Primary Science Fair on Saturday next, 9 January. They have worked on a project since September examining how our families have influenced our physical characteristics such as eye colour, freckles and hair colour. It has been a very interesting research project and we are enormously proud of all the students for their hard work and dedication. They will showcase the project at the fair, which runs in conjunction with the BT Young Scientist Competition from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 January. The primary science fair is a great opportunity for the boys and girls to present their work to the general public. Well done.
