The fifth class children are preparing their repertoire for their upcoming concert on Wednesday 29 April in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght. The concert is an amazing opportunity for the children to showcase their talents. They will perform with many other schools, accompanied by an orchestra. Further information about the choir can be obtained by clicking on the link below. Thank you to the fifth class teachers and Ms Murray for their sterling efforts in preparing the children.
http://www.nationalchildrenschoir.org/index.html As the weather shows signs of improving, the number of sporting events has increased in recent weeks. Children have taken part in Athletics tournaments in Porterstown. The senior boys and girls are entering a soccer blitz on Thursday 26 March. Hurling and football training continue this year with huge interest from the boys and girls. The third class children have enjoyed eight weeks of swimming instruction in the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown.
Thank you to all the teachers who continue to coordinate the sporting activities in the school. The school closes on Friday 27 March at 12 noon for Easter break. We will open again on Monday 13 April. Enjoy the holidays.
The school is closed on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 March. We look forward to celebrating our national holiday, St Patrick's Day. Many of the children will be attending the parade in the city centre. Keeva from Mr Herity's class made this beautiful leprechaun using loom bands. She joined children from across the school as they marked this special day through art, music and poetry. Well done.
An international coffee morning was held in the Atrium lately as part of the Yellow Flag activities. Parents were invited to attend and sample some international fare. A wonderful morning was enjoyed by all. Well done to the Yellow flag committee for organising and coordinating the event.
Táimid ag ceiliuradh seachtain na Gaeilge. Dar le www.snag.ie 'Tugann an fhéile deis go gach uile dhuine sult a bhaint as an nGaeilge, idir chainteoirí dúchais, fhoghlaimeoirí agus lucht an chúpla focal ar aon, trí fhéilire imeachtaí siamsúla agus spraíúla a chur ar fáil do gach cineál suime agus gach aoisghrúpa.'
Bain sult agus tairbhe as an seachtain. |
