Student Council

The student council plays an active part in the life of our school.  Students from fifth and sixth classes are offered the opportunity to join the council each September.  Each class holds a ballot to elect one boy and one girl who will represent them on the council.  The job of the council is to act as a voice for the wider student body.  The students have been involved in many aspects of our school and we are enormously proud of them for their hard work and dedication.

Here are some examples of the types of activities they are involved in throughout the school year:
Supporting school events - welcoming guests and showing them around the school.
Working to support the school musical.
Organising fundraising efforts.
Listening to the students in the school and communicating their ideas and concerns at meetings.

Our experience of the student council.
Senan Keenan (Rang 6) and Ella Foley (rang 6)

The student council are students from 5th and 6th class.  We fundraise and we help make our school a better place.  We have meetings to discuss about how we could fix problems or how we could help  the school.  We put on plays and have different visitors that come and we welcome them. Ella

The student council is a group of students from different classes and years such as 5th and 6th class students whom give ideas to make the school a better place.  We then arrange meetings and discuss our ideas like giving toys to smaller groups and to give ideas.  When visitors come to our school we welcome them to our school and also help out at big events.  Senan
