Tá an t-ádh linn go bhfuil a lán spáis againn in ár scoil. Faoi láthair tá gairdín beaga ag na paistí agus ag tús na bliana, thosaigh siad ag ullmhú glasraí agus luibheanna don earrach. Leis an dea-aimsir atá againn, is féidir linn obair leis an cré amuigh faoin spéir. Táimid ag tnúth go mór leis na glasraí, le cunamh Dé.
Once again, we joyously participated in World Book Day. There is a long held tradition of celebrating the day here in the school and we did so with vim and vigour this year. Ms O'Connor discovered some very old comic books, which had been stored behind our library. Lots of boys and girls were invited to think of alternative endings to the comic book stories. It was a lovely idea and lots of fun for everyone.
It was a pleasure to participate in Engineering Week 2022. Our senior classes really enjoyed taking part in the challenges. Rang 4 discovered the engineering principles underpinning bridge construction. Part of their discovery involved testing the strength of eggs. They even attempted to stand on a carton of eggs! Luckily, what they had learned ensured that there was no egg explosion in any of the classrooms. There was however, plenty of laughter and lots of learning. Well done everyone for taking part.
Recently, our local community centre hosted an outdoor art exhibition. Showcasing local artistic talent, it was a pleasure to see how our community captured their thinking and demonstrated their motivations. Our school, being the closest neighbours, had full advantage of this wonderful exhibition. Thank you to all involved.
